Armor & Attitude: Protecting the Build and Defining Its Style

Armor & Attitude: Protecting the Build and Defining Its Style

Built to Take a Hit
Once the suspension was dialed in, it was time to armor up. Off-road builds aren’t just about performance—they’re about protection. Rocks, stumps, ledges, and ruts don’t care how clean your welds are. That’s why we outfitted this TJ-to-LJ conversion with armor that’s as tough as the trail.

What We Installed
•     Front & Rear Bumpers: High-clearance, winch-ready, and trail-tested
•     Rock Sliders: Frame-mounted for real protection, not just looks
•     Skid Plates: Engine, transmission, and transfer case coverage
•     Corner Armor: Rear quarter panels reinforced for impact resistance
Every piece was chosen for durability, fitment, and trail function. No fluff. No chrome. Just steel and purpose.

Style Meets Substance
Armor isn’t just protection—it’s attitude. This Jeep now looks like it means business:
•     Aggressive stance
•     Clean welds and tight fitment
•     Matte finishes and purposeful lines
It’s the kind of rig that turns heads at the trailhead and earns respect on the rocks.

Behind the Build
Photos from this phase show the Jeep evolving from raw to rugged:
•     Sliders being welded in
•     Bumpers bolted up
•     Skids tucked tight underneath
This is where the build starts to feel complete.

Why It Matters
Armor gives you confidence. It lets you take lines others won’t. It protects your investment and your adventure. For this build, it’s the final layer of grit before we hit the trail.

What’s Next
Next week, we wrap it all up—final walkaround, trail test, and reflections on what this build taught us.
